General English

Description

Multilevel general English course.
The course is designed for adult learners who would like to improve abilities in all language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The main emphasis is to develop your confidence in speaking and listening as well as to help you become more accurate in using the language. Our approach places equal importance on developing fluency and accuracy of the students' speech.
The course consists of six levels: BREAKTHROUGH (A1), WAYSTAGE (A2), THRESHOLD (B1), VANTAGE (B2), OPERATIONAL PROFICIENCY (C1),  and  MASTERY (C2).

Study options

You can attend classes at IFL or our teacher can come to your place.

Minimum lessons weekly

2-hour* classes are held twice or three times a week.

Course can be started any time throughout the year.

The course content

The General English course focuses on covering a wide range of topics and subjects in daily use in English speaking community. The emphasis is to ensure that students acquire fluency and confidence in using English, through the development of the students’ language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, with the particular emphasis on speaking and listening. Students are also taught language systems: phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and register.
